Yarriambiack Shire Council (on behalf of Wimmera Mallee Tourism) invites suitably qualified consultants to tender for the Wimmera Mallee Tourism's Accommodation Gap Analysis Project.

The overall objective of this Accommodation Gap analysis project is:

To determine the extent and nature of enhancements required to the region's accommodation facilities in order to maximise the number of visits and the length of stay by tourists to the region.

Proposals should address the intended approach and methodology to achieve the project objective through the following three project stages:
Phase 1: Audit of Existing Accommodation
Phase 2: Gaps and Opportunities for Enhancements
Phase 3: Business Cases for Selected New and Improved Accommodation Facilities

In undertaking this project, it is expected that the consultant will consult with accommodation business owners/managers, park managers and Reserve Committees of Management around the region to understand:

• Existing operations (including seasonality, occupancy and visitor types)
• Proposed developments
• Infrastructure and facilities
• Legal and compliance issues
• Linkages of the facility with others in the region
• Whether the operating conditions have the potential to deliver increased usage
• Any potential opportunities which could
