Narrabeen Lagoon Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge

⁠⁠⁠SERVICE REQUIRED:

The works include the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over Narrabeen Lagoon on the western side of Pittwater Road. The bridge will link with the existing Narrabeen Lagoon Trail at its southern and northern approaches and will service recreational users and commuters utilising the B-Line bus stop at Narrabeen shops. The bridge would significantly enhance the amenity of the lagoon crossing as the existing roadside footpath adjacent to Pittwater Road is relatively narrow for the high volume of pedestrian and cyclist traffic that utilise the Narrabeen Lagoon Trail for commuting, fitness and leisure activities.

The scope of works contained within this Request for Tender (RFT) includes the construction of the Narrabeen Lagoon Pedestrian Bridge under a Lump Sum Construct Only Contract with the successful contractor acting as the Principal Contractor under the WHS Regulations and Work Health & Safety Act 2011. It is expected works will commence in 2021

SITE BRIEFING: 

A pre-tender briefing will be held via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 8 October 2020 at 10:30am. A contact for the briefing is included in the Tender Documents. 

Tenderers should ensure they review the quote documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing. (See Part A5 - Conditions of Tender for details).

LODGEMENT:

Submissions should be lodged in the electronic tender box or in the physical tender box at Northern Beaches Council, Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why, NSW 2099 by the time and date nominated. Late submissions may not be accepted.
