Tender Description
As part of the Inland Rail Program, ARTC is proposing to procure one contractor to deliver the Rail Corridor Package, which comprises the following across the N2N, NS2B and B2G projects:
During the development phase:
* supporting ARTC in the development of aspects of the Works Programs which affect the Rail Corridor Package; and
* development of logistics and construction methodologies for the Permanent Work Package/s.
Initial Works Package/s:
* establishment of storage facilities, potentially including new sidings and/or gantries;
* handling, logistics and materials management for ARTC supplied materials (sleepers, rail & turnouts);
* welding of rail, potentially including the construction of flash butt welding facility/s;
* securing of long lead equipment, potentially including ballast wagons and/or high-production track laying machines; and
* identifying and securing ballast supply.
Permanent Works Package/s:
* track construction, including the supply and transport of all ballast;
* installation and commissioning of level crossings; and
* co-ordination with the Rail Systems Package including in relation to (i) the construction of level crossings and (ii) access to Rail Corridor Package worksites for the early installation of Rail Systems Package works.
