Douglas Shire Council is currently seeking nominations by expression of interest to fill two (2) positions to sit on Council’s Audit Committee for a fixed term of 12 months from appointment.
- Independent Chairperson
- Independent External Member
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person who has the relevant skills, experience and desire to undertake a challenging but fulfilling role.
Eligibility Requirements
Council is seeking members of the public with appropriate legal and/or financial skills and experience in business, governance and internal auditing, accounting or management.
A current or previous Councillor or Staff member of the Douglas Shire Council are not eligible to be appointed as Audit Committee Chair.
The Audit Committee Chair and Independent External Member are entitled to fees for preparation and attendance at meetings.
