The key objective of this RFP is to obtain a preferred supplier to provide server equipment and compute infrastructure that is highly scalable to support the University Enterprise and corporate needs.
This procurement will seek the supply of the next generation of server and compute technologies to provide a scalable and highly available environment to support Monash University IT platforms.
Enterprise server assets help support services such as:
- Student Information System.
- Financial Systems, Development Information Systems.
- SQL databases, application, and VMware farms.
- File Storage, Backup and Recovery.
- Web and Internet Services.
- Bandwidth-intensive, latency-sensitive applications that require high-end compute capabilities.
The University seeks to improve the value proposition, and cultivate an innovative partner relationship by entering into a three (3) year initial agreement, extendable at Monash's discretion to five (5) years with a partner to purchase compute resources (ie: enterprise IT servers, converged storage and compute servers, interconnect/computer networking infrastructure).
The University is seeking a partner that can offer the combination of quality products and services that will provide IT server infrastructure performance and reliability at the best value. This also includes warranty, and support services.
Partners must have the capacity and previous experience to meet enterprise demands and support levels.
