Scope of work
This project involves the construction of an access road of approximately 10km in length, for use by Light Vehicles, Buses, and Triple Road Trains.
The road will largely be unsealed with the exception of one intersection area. Due to tenure and clearing restrictions the project will have a narrow construction corridor in which to complete the works.
The Scope of Work will include, but may not be limited to the following activities:
- Continuous quantity and quality surveying, and marking out and protection of tenure boundaries and buried services;
- Clearing, grubbing, stripping and stockpiling organic matter and topsoil;
- Bulk earthworks, cut and fill activities and borrow pit operations;
- Construction of drainage features and culvert installations;
- Some drill & blast activities;
- Traffic management;
- Road sealing , signage and line marking;
- Some in-pit works for construction of an intersection.
