This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
Plant Breeder’s Rights (PBR) business systems rely on old technology platforms and are due for a refresh. This is compromising business performance and customer service delivery, while exposing the business to risk.
The PBR Modernisation initiative seeks to address this. Initial funding has been made available to undertake some discovery work to determine how this modernisation can best be achieved.
The initial focus of the initiative is to investigate the PBR document store. The current solution relies on an Objective platform. The first target of the discovery work is to run a proof-of-concept (POC) of a strategic replacement of the PBR Objective instance, including migration of existing business objects.
The target technology for the POC is MS SharePoint and the O365 platform. The premise is that IP Australia’s E5 licencing arrangements make this attractive from both platform and storage cost perspectives.
