Aquatopia Stage 5A Supply Design and Construction of a Wave Pool

Council is a body politic constituted under the Local Government Act 1993 with the general functions set out in the Local Government Act and is enable to enter into contracts and arrangements of the type contemplated in this Tender. Fairfield City
Council is self-insured where it provides its own insurance to its workers instead of going through an insurance agent.
Being self-insured requires Council additional licensing requirements to ensure it maintains the high standards expected in Work, Health and Safety (WHS). Accordingly, Council must demonstrate that its WHS systems and practices comply with the WHS legal framework including the WHS laws (WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2017).
SafeWork NSW monitors and conducts audits on self-insurers periodically throughout the Licence term supported by an audit framework in WHS and case management.

ABOUT THE Expression of Interest
Fairfield City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from organisations that have appropriate certifications, qualifications, capacity, experience and a high standard of capability showing proven expertise in the design, project management and construction of wave pools who can deliver the best value for money.

The EOI is intended to form a selective panel of Contractors that Council will then issue a selective Request for Tender for the supply, design and construction of a new wave pool at Aquatopia. Councils is looking for a least 3 to 4 contractors to form this panel.
At the award of the selective tender council is will enter into a contract with a suitability experienced head contractor for the design supply and installation of the wave pool for Aquatopia Water Park at Prairiewood. It is envisaged that the form of contract that will be provided to the Contractor will be an amended version of the AS4902 2000 General Conditions Design & Construct.

Following completion of previous stages of the water park 1 to 4 Council decided to further expand the Aquatopia Water Park in the following stages.
Stage 5 to provide a new wave pool this current EOI
Stage 6 to provide a new dry recreational facility future expansion

The EOI seeks proposals from experienced contractors to deliver part of the Stage 5 design supply and construction the new wave pool.
