The purpose of this ITS is to purchase software licenses for a platform on which it can develop solutions using in house development resources supplimented by support from a communicty of vendors (system integrators).
Austin Health is lloking to develop a Referral Management and Patient Communication System (RMPCS) to electronically manage Cardiology referrals and dynamically manage the cardiac surgery waiting list within the Austin Health Cardiology department.
The RMPCS workflow management system will simplify the assessment and triaging of inbound Cardiology referrals and enable the Cardiology department to communicate with current patients about their health status. This will make referral management more efficient and effective, will enable electronic communication with patients, and will provide up to date essential clinical information about all patients on the Cardiology waitlist.
