Tender Description
Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors with Transport for NSW under the National Prequalification Scheme for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts at Roadworks Category R4 and Financial Level F10, or higher, for the construction of a new road embankment to improve flood immunity of Cessnock Road at Testers Hollow. The work includes earthworks, drainage, pavements, utility relocations and associated activities.
The Asphalt Paving component of the work must be carried out by contractors pre-qualified with Category A2 or higher.
The earthworks and drainage components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with Transport for NSW in Category E or D respectively or prequalified for roadworks.
The primary testing of the work (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with Transport for NSW in Category L2.
The traffic control component of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with Transport for NSW at Category G.
A pre-tender meeting and site inspection will be held at Kurri Kurri TAFE (McLeod Rd, Kurri Kurri NSW 2327) at 10am Wednesday 4 March 2020. Attendance is mandatory to submit a conforming tender.
All Tenderers must comply with the New South Wales Government’s Procurement Policy Framework (NSW Framework), Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and Implementation Guidelines to the New South Wales Code of Practice for Procurement: Building and Construction (NSW Guidelines).

This project is jointly funded by the NSW and Australian Governments.

It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme) at the time of entering into the contract for ‘building work’ for the Project and must maintain accreditation under the Scheme while the ‘building work’ is being carried out. Information on the Scheme is available on the Australian Government website at www.fsc.gov.au.”
