Weir Road Quambatook - Low Level Crossing

Council is seeking tenders for the replacement of a low level bridge or culvert crossing of the Avoca River on Weir Road, Quambatook, Victoria

The existing river crossing was constructed in 1980 and has become compromised due to previous and recent flooding events through the Avoca River.

The portion of the Avoca River where the crossing is located is generally dry as a weir directly upstream of the crossing holds the streamflow.

The project involves the design and construction of a new structure, removal and disposal of the existing crossing, and the installation of batter beaching as required.
