Tender Description
The Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Geriatric Medicine seeks expressions of interest for an Advanced Trainee Representative.
The ATC responsibilities include:
- assessment of Advanced Training in Geriatric Medicine
- review of Advanced Training settings in Geriatric Medicine
- development and review of Advanced Training Program in Geriatric Medicine requirements
- review of the Advanced Training Curriculum in Geriatric Medicine, when required
- confirm completion of training requirements for progression to Fellowship
The Advanced Trainee Representative is responsible for providing the ATC with a trainees’ perspective on training issues through involvement with the ANZSGM Committee of Advanced Trainees.
The Committee holds 2 face-to-face meetings a year in Sydney, 1 face-to-face meeting at the ASM and holds up to 4x teleconference a year.
The Advanced Trainee is appointed to the ATC for a 2-year term, which can be renewed for a further 2 terms or until the Advanced Trainee becomes eligible for Fellowship.
