City West Water (CWW) has completed the process for the Water and Sewer Network Renewals Registration of Interest (ROI).
The submissions gave us great insight into Contractors’ views on delivery of the Renewals program and has helped us finalise the design of the Renewals delivery model.
Whilst there was a range of views on the questions we asked, Contractors generally responded positively to our proposed approach to partner with a smaller number of contractors and to ask each of these partners to deliver both water and sewer renewal projects. Whilst delivering water and sewer services separately does present some benefits, on balance we believe that combining delivery offers us the greatest opportunity to deliver on our vision for the Network Renewals program.
CWW will be proceeding with an Request For Tender (RFT) seeking to engage two Contractors, with each Contractor delivering water and sewer renewal projects. The feedback we received on risk allocation, performance incentivisation and social procurement has been used to further develop the model.
