Ferrier's Road Loch Water Main Renewal

⁠⁠⁠Overview

South Gippsland Water is seeking a contractor for the base construction of a water supply pipeline as part of the Ferrier's Road Loch Water Main Renewal, with potential construction of two provisional items.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Base construction involving the renewal of approximately 1264m of DN225 PE pipeline via open cut and trenchless methods, north and south of the Bass River, covering CH 0 to CH 750 and CH 922 to CH 1436 on the design plans
• Installation via HDD between CH 0 to CH 625 and CH 940 to CH 1000, as specified by South Gippsland Water due to site constraints and notated on the design plans
• Potential construction of two provisional items: the Bass River Crossing and the proposed water main provisional scope to replace the existing DN100 PVC/AC pipeline running along Ferrier's Road, Loch

Information Requested

Where HDD installation has not been specified on the tender drawings, the contractor is required to assess the sections of open cut construction and advise, in their tender, which of these sections would be best completed using HDD installation as an alternative. It is up to the contractor to determine the most cost effective or best construction methodology, either open cut or trenchless, and provide pricing for this in their tender submission.
