Early Works Pipework for Melton to Bacchus Marsh Interconnector

The pipework involves installation and commissioning of approximately:

• 1.3km of 600mm diameter pipe;
• 600m of 450mm and 600m of 225mm pipe replacing (on new alignments) existing irrigation pipeline and channel;
• various connections with existing pipework with Melton RWP; and
• interaction with Western Water’s irrigation leasee at Melton RWP.

Pipes and fittings will be principal supplied for the 600mm pipework, and the contractor will supply and install all other pipe and fittings as required. All pipes and fittings installed must be in accordance with Western Water’s approved pipe products as set out in the MRWA web portal.

All work under the contract will be required to be complete prior to the commencement of works on the proposed new winter storage which is scheduled to commence on 25 June 2020.

An industry briefing/site visit is proposed and questions during the tender period (until end of Period for questions) can be directed via the Buying for Victoria website.

The contract will be delivered under AS2124 and the current program indicates the following key dates.
