Would you like the opportunity to shape the future of an educational meeting that attracts over 1,000 Health Care Professionals worldwide?

The role of the Congress Lead Fellow is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader to influence and shape the Congress program for the Internal Medicine community.

Expressions of interest are open for the role from Fellows across all Divisions, Faculties and Chapters, from Australia and New Zealand.

The Congress Lead Fellow will chair the Congress Program Committee (CPC) as well as work with the Fellowship Committee and College staff to implement Congress themes, ‘Shared Interest’ topics, multidisciplinary streams, workshops and clinical insights.

The Lead Fellow and CPC work with key stakeholders to deliver the Boards strategic vision. Responsibilities for the role include:

  • lead the CPC to coordinate the development of an innovative, cohesive, scientifically robust and market responsive cross-disciplinary program
  • attend various College committee meetings to share news of Congress and promote inclusion
  • participate in the Pre-Congress Planning Forum (Q2 2020) to identify common themes and interests, suggest and agree upon speakers and topics in alignment with long term strategic direction
  • attend Congress 2020 and receive a handover from the current Lead Fellow
