Tender Description
This contract is for the construction of a new swale, stormwater pipeline and associated sumps and manholes in the Batten Grove to Dunns Avenue area in The Pines Beach.
The main tasks involved in this Contract are:
- Confirming the location of existing services in the vicinity of the works
- Design and establishment of all necessary temporary works to maintain current flood risk to neighbouring properties and road network, during periods of high rainfall or high tide
- Design and establishment of all necessary dewatering, and sediment and erosion control measures in accordance with Environmental Canterbury guidelines
- Supply and installation of approximately 12 m of DN225 RCRJJ pipe, 15 m of DN300 RCRJJ pipe and 102 m of DN375 RCRJJ pipe and reinstatement of the ground surface to the same or better quality
- Supply and Installation of two new sumps
- Supply and Installation of one new manhole
- Breaking into existing sump
- Construction of approximately 50 m of grassed swale
Tenderers are expected to be familiar with the ground conditions (groundwater levels and material type) that are experienced in the Waimakariri District and shall allow for this in the tender rate submitted.
