Tender Description

1. Introduction

Beach Energy Limited (Beach) is seeking to better understand the current and emerging capabilities of Uncrewed Systems (including aerial, underwater, and robotic platforms) that may enhance the way we inspect, monitor, and maintain our assets.

Beach operates a diverse portfolio of onshore and offshore oil and gas infrastructure, where safety, efficiency, and reliability are critical. Recent internal trials have demonstrated that drone-enabled inspection can reduce operational disruption, minimise personnel exposure to high-risk environments, and deliver rapid access to asset condition data.

This Expression of Interest is being issued to explore what is possible in the current market, rather than to procure a defined solution.

2. Purpose of this EOI

The purpose of this EOI is to:

• Understand the breadth and maturity of drone and remote inspection capabilities available in the market

• Identify innovative or emerging use cases relevant to oil and gas operations

• Explore delivery models, including contractor-led, managed service, or hybrid approaches

• Inform the potential development of a future operating model and procurement strategy

This EOI is not a request for tender and will not directly result in contract award.

3. Scope of Interest

Beach is interested in insights across a wide range of capabilities, including but not limited to:

Aerial (UAV / RPAS) Capabilities

• Asset inspections (e.g. flare tips, structures, pipelines, facilities)

• Methane and emissions detection and reporting

• Thermal imaging and condition monitoring

• Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations

• Aerial lifting or intervention tasks

• Emergency / rapid response deployment

Underwater and Subsea (ROV) Capabilities

• Subsea infrastructure inspection

• Marine and environmental surveys

• Hull, tank, and structural inspections

Confined Space and Internal Robotics

• Tank, vessel, and enclosed space inspections

• GPS-denied environment navigation

• Non-entry inspection methodologies

Data, Analytics and Digital Integration

• Digital twin development and 3D modelling

• AI-enabled defect detection and analytics

• Data integration into asset management systems

• Real-time data capture and reporting

Specialist and Emerging Capabilities

• Robotics or hybrid systems (UAV/ROV combinations)

• Environmental monitoring (land and marine)

• Novel sensing technologies

• Any capability that reduces:

• Working at heights

• Confined space entry

• Offshore vessel utilisation

Industry examples indicate that these capabilities are increasingly being deployed to improve safety outcomes, enhance data quality, and reduce cost and downtime across oil and gas operations.

4. Key Areas of Interest

Beach is particularly interested in responses that address:

Capability and Differentiation

• What services or technologies do you provide?

• What differentiates your capability from others in the market?

• What are your most mature and proven use cases?

Operational Experience

• Experience in oil and gas or other major hazard industries

• Offshore and remote operations capability

• Examples of similar work delivered (case studies encouraged)

Safety and Compliance

• Aviation approvals and certifications (e.g. CASA approvals)

• Safety management systems and approach to risk

• Experience operating in complex or high-risk environments

Delivery Model

• How services are typically delivered (e.g. project-based, embedded, on-call)

• Mobilisation capability and response times

• Geographic coverage

Technology and Data

• Types of sensors, payloads, and platforms used

• Data outputs and reporting formats

• Integration with client systems

Future Outlook

• Emerging technologies or capabilities you believe will materially impact industry

• Opportunities for innovation or collaboration

5. Response Requirements

Respondents are requested to provide a concise submission (maximum 5–10 pages) including:

  1. Company overview and relevant experience
  2. Description of capabilities and services offered
  3. Example use cases or case studies
  4. Safety and regulatory compliance approach
  5. Indicative delivery models
  6. Any additional insights or innovations relevant to Beach

6. Evaluation Approach

Responses will be reviewed to:

• Build Beach’s understanding of market capability and maturity

• Identify potential areas for further engagement or pilot opportunities

• Inform internal strategy and future procurement activities

No shortlist or contract award is guaranteed as a result of this EOI.

7. Confidentiality

All information provided will be treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of internal evaluation and strategy development.

8. Submission Details

Responses are to be submitted via the Industry Capability Network (ICN) portal by: Friday 29th May 2026
