Blackett Street Stormwater Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠This Contract is for the installation of new stormwater infrastructure on Blackett Street, between King Street and Ashley Street, in the township of Rangiora.

The main tasks involved in this Contract are:

- Supply and installation of the following Stormwater infrastructure:

• 25m of DN225 RCRRJ Class 4 Sump leads
• 15m of DN300 RCRRJ Class 4 Sump leads
• 19m of DN450 RCRRJ Class 4 stormwater pipe
• 254m of DN600 RCRRJ Class 4 stormwater pipe
• 14m of DN675 RCRRJ Class 4 stormwater pipe
• 5m of DN750 RCRRJ Class 4 stormwater pipe
• 104m of DN900 RCRRJ Class 4 stormwater pipe
• 7m of DN1050 RCRRJ Class 4 stormwater pipe
• 4x New SQ 900 Manholes
• 4x New DN1800 Manhole
• Design and Build of Bespoke chamber
• Connections to existing manholes
• 6x New single side entry sumps

- Removal of approximately 392m of the existing DN375, DN450, DN600 & DN675 stormwater pipes along the alignment of the new main

- Design and installation of temporary works

- Installing new water crossings

- Installation of new wastewater crossings

- 36m of DN150 PVC-U PN12 water pipe

- Civil works for Chorus and MainPower service relocations (refer Appendix J and K)

- Surface reinstatement of trenches including line marking with 55mm AC14

- Traffic Management

- Location and Protection of existing services including potholing – including liaising with utility providers and obtaining permits

- Removal of AC water pipe

- Protection of palm tree as required by the Tree Protection Plan (Refer Appendix G)

- Kerb and channel replacement

- Reinstatement of roundabout apron

- New footpath construction

- CCTV inspection

- Testing of new watermain

- Public notification and liaising with key stakeholders
