Commissioning & Development of Plans to Deliver Competitive Tourist Accommodation & Town Revitalisation Documentation for Forty Established Locations

⁠⁠⁠Yarriambiack Shire Council (on behalf of Wimmera Mallee Tourism) is seeking an experienced consultant to undertake the research, reporting and documentation for:-

Commissioning and development of Master Plan to deliver competitive tourist accommodation for major market segments through camping sites, caravan and motor home sites, sites with en-suites, on-site cabins and glamping facilities. Also, detailed plans about how the accommodation facilities can collaborate with other regional parks, national parks and tourism facilities;
Detailed Tourism Ready Town Revitalisation Plans focusing on transforming town central activities to look attractive, offer products and services that are responsive to day and overnight visitors, and add value to regional tourism.
It is envisaged the successful appointee will take the following into consideration in the design plans for the camping and caravan grounds and township revitalisation:

• Be mindful of local histories and contexts and the changing demographics of rural centres;
• Plan in ways that capitalise on existing assets;
• Identify human resources and capacities;
• Understand the community and its aspirations;
• Design in a way that captures the attention of the travelling public;
• Create images through art and landscape that have local cultural resonance;
• Plan with affordability, sustainability and safety in mind;
• Take into consideration the climate of the region and the need for such things as shade and water sensitive planting.
