The Austin Hospital
The Austin Hospital is one of Australia’s largest teaching hospitals. Inpatients are housed in the Austin Hospital Tower, which features purpose-built modern facilities including one of the State’s largest emergency departments.
The Austin Hospital is home to a number of State-wide services, including the Victorian Liver Transplant Service, the Victorian Spinal Cord Service and the Victorian Respiratory Support Service.
The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre
At the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre our patients experience world-leading treatment and care complemented by wellness programs to support patients in body, mind and spirit. We have over 200 clinical trials in progress, providing access to new, breakthrough therapies.
Other Services
The Mental Health Clinical Service Unit (MHCSU) forms part of Austin Health. Our CSU embeds the philosophy of personal recovery in all aspects of the service. We aim to work with consumers and carers, supporting self-determination and choice. We will endeavour to assist them in choosing care that addresses the things that matter most to them and provide them with access to a range of high quality treatment options that are supported by a strong evidence base.
Such services are provided in both inpatient and community settings. Two examples are our Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC) located at 11 Law Street Heidelberg Heights and our Child & Adolescents Mental Health Service (CAMHS) located in the Marion Drummond Building located off Burgundy St in Heidelberg.
