The Rural City of Wangaratta (Council) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor for the renewal of existing stormwater drainage infrastructure, in the area of Appin Park, to remove current flooding issues around the Appin Street and Orkney Street intersections.
Renewal of existing drainage within the Appin Street area is required in order to remove current issues surrounding flooding during storm events. Sections of Appin Street regularly flood, creating a hazard for vehicles and pedestrians. Works will see the upgrade of the drainage pipe network within the area around Appin Park.
The Work comprises the construction of large diameter stormwater pipes and pits through Appin Park. It also includes but is not limited to survey, demolition, excavation, removal, construction and associated works as shown in the specification and design drawings. The proposed pipework will connect into the existing drainage infrastructure on Appin Street and into the downstream network on the north end of the oval (Gunther Street).
