Tender Description
The University of Canberra (UC) is implementing a centralised approach to its chemical management across the campus.
This will enable better management of chemicals via procedures and practices in place that ensure compliance with all relevant State and Commonwealth legislation throughout the life cycle of all chemicals; Procurement through to Disposal (including relevant wastes and by products).
UC, as part of the implementation of this centralised approach, requires an IT system capable as functioning as an electronic tool for records, workflow and compliance management associated with chemical acquisition, storage and movement throughout the product life cycle. As such, the IT system will be configured as a tool for the end-to-end management including processes and approvals in the areas of procurement, storage, inventory, access, use, waste disposal, and compliance (such as Risk, Globally Harmonised System (GHS) of classification and labelling of chemicals, and any Placarding requirements).
It is also required that the system provides services and features compliant with relevant State and Commonwealth legislations.
It is preferable that any system integrates with relevant UC business systems for future integrations.
