Tender Description
Murrindindi Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from potential operators to take over the Lease and Work Authority for Drysdale’s Quarry on Guymers Road, Homewood.
The site has been used by Council as a source of roadmaking gravel since the 1950s and contains both hard and soft materials. It is estimated to hold 450,000 m3 of hill gravel insitu and 650,000 m3 of sedimentary rock insitu.
The site represents a significant opportunity for earthmoving contractors or civil works enterprises.
If sufficient interest is shown in the quarry, Council will undertake a tender process to select a suitable operator.
