To improve disinfection processes at various treatment plant sites, upgrades are planned at the Leongatha Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Meeniyan WTP, Toora WTP, Korumburra Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Leongatha WWTP. A brief summary of the works

includes:
Works at the Leongatha WTP include installation of new UV treatment units, bifurcation of clarifier inlet pipework and associated dosing, new chlorine dosing facility, modifications to existing clear water storage pipework and upgrades associated with SCADA Control & Integration.

Works at Meeniyan WTP installation of turbidity analysers for each filter cell and associated works.

Works at Toora WTP include installing a dedicated UPS unit for the existing UV treatment system and associated works.

Works at the Korumburra WWTP and the Leongatha WWTP include replacing the existing UV treatment units with a modern UV reactor, including the installation of a new control panel and any piping or other modifications required by the installation of the new unit.
