Construction of Darebin Creek Trail Upgrade – Stage 4

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and capable contractors for the upgrade of Darebin Creek Trail Shared path Stage 4 (from Banksia Street to Poplar Crescent).

The scope of and includes but is not limited to construction activities involving:
* Site Establishment, Preliminaries and Traffic Management including service location.
* Construction of the identified concrete path as per the staging identified in the documents.
* Ensure works are undertaken in accordance with the Arborist report.
* Ensure works are undertaken in accordance with Cultural Heritage Management Plan Number 15366
* Trimming and/or removal of trees and revegetation including maintenance and establishment period for 52 weeks following the issue of Practical Completion.
* Construct fence and retaining walls as shown on the construction drawings.
* Construct under pavement drainage as shown on the construction drawings
* Install signage and line marking as shown on the construction drawings
* Cut and fill to required levels as shown on the construction drawings.
* Top soil and seed batters as shown on construction drawings
* Clean site and remove any rubbish to the satisfaction of the superintendent.

Notes: Contractor is to provide unobstructed access to the area at all times for operational and maintenance purposes. The works area must be clearly defined on site thus creating a clear path for authorities to access the waterway.

Should at any time during any works associated with this project that suspected asbestos is identified, contractor is to notify the council immediately.

The contractor is to familiarise itself with the site, access, extent, complexity and timing of works required and shall take into account any additional or incidental works not specifically listed.
