Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Siphon No. 1 is located on the Main Southern Channel downstream of Glenmaggie Dam. The Main Southern Channel forms a part of the Macalister Irrigation District.

The 8' (2.4 m) internal diameter siphon No. 1 was constructed in the early 1900s using reinforced concrete. The siphon follows a straight alignment and is around 40 m long. The siphon is being replaced with a 1500 ML/d capacity open concrete flume.
