Tender Description
The redevelopment is to be completed over 2019/2020. The Works area is located in the main hospital utilising space made available from the relocation of the Emergency Department. The hospital will be required to remain operational for staff and patients throughout construction. The Stage 1 works package includes construction of the following areas:
* A new CT machine suite adjacent to the Adult Assessment Unit
* Staff base & waiting area with accessible wash closets
* Holding bays for Trolley beds and Cannulation chairs including Medical Imaging Reporting rooms
The Stage 2a works package includes internal refurbishment of the existing CT area to establish a new second MRI machine adjacent to the existing MRI, with associated Equipment and Control, Interview, Change, reporting and Trolley transfer rooms.
The Stage 2b works package includes functional improvements to the change room and access door to the current MRI room and Fire Engineering repatriation works to existing smoke & fire walls surrounds to satisfy the provisions of fire safety protection.
The scope of works will include Decommissioning through to Commissioning including testing to the relevant standards.
