Waverley Council Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee

⁠⁠⁠Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified independent persons to fill three independent member positions on Waverley Council’s new Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee.

The Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee will provide independent assurance and improvement advice to Council across a range of areas including risk management, financial management and audit, legal compliance, health and safety, and external accountability responsibilities.

Independent Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee members will be expected to have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
* financial and accounting
* risk management
* performance improvement
* local government / public sector management
* legal or governance
* asset management.

Remuneration
Remuneration for the external independent members is $1,500 per meeting for the Chair and $1,300 per meeting for the independent members, exclusive of GST. This rate includes meeting preparation and travel time.
