Tender Description
Invites the submission of quotations closing at 4:00pm Thursday 27th June 2019 for contract RFQ 19/018.The works involve the engineering survey, soil test and pavement design work for a length of 12 km Road. The consultant shall carry out the consultancy services in accordance with the relevant Australian Standard and acceptable professional practice. The Consultant shall, under the scope of works carry out activities and deliver services and documents as follows:
A. Topographic Survey
The consultant shall carryout topographical survey. The consultant shall establish a permanent bench mark at 500 m apart. The bench mark has to be transferred to the drawing also. Coordinates and locations of reference points shall be given in reference to ADL. Survey Points shall be sufficient to achieve a reliable contour map of 100 millimeter interval. All artificial and manmade features are to be located in the drawings. The cross section shall be taken at 50m interval.
B. Soil Test
The consultant shall carryout soil test and find out the type of the soil, field density, CBR and determine suitability of existing pavement for adding a new layer on top of it. If the existing pavement happens to be unsuitable for adding new layer, the consultant shall investigate the reasonable solution for strengthening the existing pavement
C. Pavement Design
The consultant shall design pavement and associated structures if needed.
D. Drawings, reports and cost estimate
The consultant shall calculate estimates of cost to complete the designed work and the drawing including, but not limited to, plans, cross section at 50m interval, longitudinal section and contour map of 100mm interval. The consultant shall also submit the reports as mentioned in the reporting schedule.
