High Voltage Power Upgrade - Portarlington Holiday Park
Tender ID: 383096
Tender Details
Tender Description
Bellarine Bayside Portarlington Holiday Park is currently supplied 415VAC 3 phase electrical supply via 7 points of supply (POS). Six of these are fed via Powercor 22/0.415kV pole top transformers which are connected to Powercor 22kV overhead conductors which run the length of the park. Park switchroom 1 is fed directly off the street Low Voltage (LV) supply on Sproat street.
Over recent years the park has increased maximum demand and during peak periods the existing infrastructure is overloaded resulting in loss of supply. In addition, the park is planning to increase tenancy which requires augmentation of electrical supply.
The park has applied for augmentation of existing supply however Powercor will not allow augmentation unless the park agrees to reduce the number of points of LV supply down to a maximum of 2. Given the expanse of the park and the size of loads required to be serviced, LV distribution requires significantly large sub-mains conductors requiring very large excavations and extensive ground disturbance. An LV upgrade also reduces the scope for future expansion.
It has been decided that the park will become a HV customer and the existing HV overhead supply will be replaced with a private HV underground backbone. The pole top transformers will be replaced with ground mounted transformer kiosks including switching and protection RMU's.
This document forms the basic works contract and scope of work for supply, installation and commissioning of the HV network, substations, HV switchboard and the LV Submains changeover at each existing Switchroom.
It is important to note that the scope of work contained herein is the proposed solution; however, the final installed design can be by agreement between the successful contractor and the principle.
