RFT 2019 036 - Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park Cabin and Amenity Refurbishment

Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park is located on Lake Park Road in North Narrabeen and overlooks the Narrabeen Lagoon.

As the owner of the park, Council has a responsibility to maintain the site including accommodation buildings and associated amenities and facilities. Council has undertaken an audit of the park accommodation buildings and related facilities to develop a targeted lifecycle refurbishment schedule. Council is now seeking a qualified tenderer to deliver the refurbishment of the external finishes of the Southern camping amenities block and four of the accommodation cabins with an option of a third cabin subject to budget allowances.

Council's budget for this project is $250,000 excluding GST; therefore submissions over this value may not be considered.

The maximum term of the contract is expected to be 4 months.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Northern Beaches Council (Council) is inviting tenders for the refurbishment of the Southern amenities external finishes and the refurbishment internally of four (4) of the accommodation cabins that have reached the end of their lifecycle and require refurbishment, with the option to extend the works another cabin subject to budget allowances. The scope of the works includes;
* All preliminaries to complete the works
* Site Establishment and de-establishment during the works.
* Southern Amenities Works includes;
* Redecoration of the external elevation and balcony finishes
* Repair damaged balcony and guardrail finishes
* Replacement of corroded fixings
* Cabin works includes;
* Replacement of all floor finishes
* Replacement of kitchen finishes and fittings
* Replacement of light fittings
* Redecoration of all internal finishes, and
* Replacement of all bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette joinery

Due to occupancy rates, the works period to the cabins is restricted to 1 May 2019 to 1 September 2019. The southern amenities building can be completed by 1 October 2019. Access to the Southern amenities building internally will need to be maintained during the works, so the works will likely need to be staged to maintain access via the two (2) sets of entry doors.

Tenders close at 2pm on Thursday, 28 March 2019 and must be fully received by this time.
