Tender Description
The Department of Education and Training (‘DET’ or the Department) is responsible for one of the largest asset portfolios and capital works budgets in the country. This includes over 1,571 government schools and over 17,000 buildings. These facilities have an asset value of over $20 billion that collectively educate over 603,000 students.
The Department seeks to ensure that all facilities provide contemporary, safe and sustainable learning environments aligning with Victorian Government priorities for educational infrastructure and best-practice educational methods, through a number of capital works programs and operational programs.
The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is a division of the Department of Education and Training, established in 2016, to oversee the design and construction of new schools and early childhood centres, as well as the modernisation and upgrade of existing ones. The VSBA will manage this contract on behalf of the Department.
The Victorian School Building Authority is intending to release an Open Expression of Interest in March 2019 for adding additional consultants on it’s current State-wide Schools Minor Works Consultant Panel.
The term of this engagement will be for a period of one year (2019-20).

Procurement Model
Open EOI - inviting suppliers from Department of Treasury and Finance(DTF) Construction Supplier Register (CSR) – Pre-qualified Construction Services Suppliers - pre-qualification category – Architectural, followed by selective RFQ.
Contract Model – Schools Minor Works Consultancy Agreement.
Contract Term – 1 year (2019-20).
