Tender Description
A 10 year Early Year’s Infrastructure Plan (2018 – 2028) that responds to Bayside Council’s early year’s service needs has been completed. Janet Mundy kindergarten in Fern Street Black Rock closed in 2017, and with the planned closure of the nearby St John the Baptist Kindergarten, the Infrastructure Plan identifies that the Black Rock kindergarten on Bluff Road will be unable to meet anticipated local demand for the Black Rock and East Sandringham catchment.
A site at Fern Street, Black Rock provides the opportunity to develop a Children’s Centre to meet the imminent need for kindergarten and other early years services. The site includes the now demolished Janet Mundy Kindergarten site, and a vacant Scout Hall and Guide Hall which are also being demolished.
Council seeks submissions from suitably qualified Registered Architects with the requisite skills, experience and resources to undertake Architectural and Head Consultant Services for the Fern Street Children’s Services Centre.
