Tender Description
The project is the CONSTRUCTION, EXCAVATION, AND COMPACTION OF A SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT POND and includes the following works;
Construct a sewerage treatment pond in line with the following requirements;
Installation, maintenance and removal of erosion and sediment controls
Scrap off top soil of foot print and store on site for top dressing at the end of the construction
Excavation
Cut 2378 cubic meters
Fill 1781 cubic meters
Ensuring that the clay layer is not damaged / pierced through during construction. It is important that the clay layer remains intact as an impermeable barrier
Compaction of the bottom of the excavation (3 passes with pad foot roller)
Compaction of the batter and walls
Compaction of constructed bank / Wall (150mm layers compacted to 95% Density Index)
Spread and fill of excavated material on site
Replace top soil over disturbed surface outside the top of batter inside line
Supply and install concrete block walls within the pond
Cart from Gooding's pit and install rip rap protection 500mm above and below splash zone
