Tender Description
The City of Melbourne (Council) is seeking Expressions of Interest from consortia or Individual commercial organisations with a proven ability as a manufacturer of quality street furniture for supply of Street Furniture items listed (installation by others) at various locations across City of Melbourne.
All street furniture under this contract are bespoke items and must be manufactured as per relevant Melbourne City Council drawings and specifications. Manufacturers with previous experience in supply of such street furniture items will be considered favourably. The manufacturers should be able to demonstrate the supplied items meet relevant Australian Standards and Quality Assurance. In addition manufactures will be required to:
* Produce shop drawings as required for fabrication of each furniture item
* Deliver items in stages as required by the civil contractor/s to various sites within City of Melbourne (off loading at site will be by others), including out of hours delivery at some sites
* Prove capacity to manufacture /supply number of items concurrently
* Provide certification for stainless steel grade and other coatings
The sites identified include:
* Bourke Street Mall
* Southbank Promenade
* Federation Square
* Queen Victoria Markets
* The State Library
* Olympic Boulevard, and;
* Southern Cross Station.
