Contruction of Dimboola Library Extension

⁠⁠⁠This Contract is a Lump Sum Contract for the Construction of an Dimboola Library Extension in accordance with the specifications outlined in the contract documentation and related drawings.

The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, materials transport, plant and equipment, relevant permits and subcontractor assistance to enable the completion of the works.

1.2 Workscope In Summary

The scope of works as summarised below:
1.2.1 Foundation Works
1. Site preparation and Foundation works. This shall include site layout, setting out of foundation area, excavation, filling with approved fill materials, treatment of foundation area, laying of waterproof membrane, construction of all foundation elements including footing, ground beams, raft slab, stumps, etc and backfilling with approved filling material

1.2.2 Superstructural Works
2. Erection of all super-structural elements which includes all steel columns, beams, plates, lintels, masonry works and all works required to ensure readiness for roofing.

1.2.3 Roofing
3. Installation of roof structure and roofing, roof gutters, down pipes, drain pipes laid to legal point of discharge for stormwater, and all other associated roof works detailed in the drawings and required in technical specifications

1.2.4 Electrical & Telecoms
4. Electrical wiring, conduiting, emergency lighting, distribution board and control panels, and hook-up to the mains, installation of fittings and fixtures, earthing and lightning protection. Telecoms wiring and conduiting, installation of Telecoms fixtures and fittings, Telecoms hook-up to the mains. All relevant tests and acquisition of certificates

1.2.5 Mechanical, Hydraulic & Fire Services
5. Installation of HVAC system, Heating systems, water supply system, and waste water system. Underground sewer line to be constructed and hooked up to the legal point of discharge. Fire protection system.

1.2.6 Finishes & Furnishing
6. Floor finishes (floor tiles, tactiles, anti-slip mats), Internal and external wall cladding and insulation, wall rendering & painting, timber thread cladding), Ceiling finishes, Aluminium panel installation, Aluminium louvre screen, doors installation complete with locking mechanism, windows installation.

1.2.7 Verandah Wooden Floor
7. Modwood floor decking as specified in project drawings and as approved by the Superintendent. Installation shall be done to manufacturer's specification and shall include provision of all structural elements – stumps, bearers, joists, floor wooden tiles.

1.2.8 External works
8. Construction of concrete ramps and the surrounding concrete floor, installation of balustrades,

landscaping and other associated works as specified in project drawings.

1.2.9 Toilet Works (Provisional Work Item)
9. Removal of sanitary wares, demolition of identified partitioning walls, re-construction of partition as per drawings, procurement and installation of new sanitary wares and connection to services.
