Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern NSW is seeking expressions of interest to tender on the proposed new building located at our Forster Family Retreat.

Looking out over the calming waters of Wallis Lake in Forster, NSW, the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat was the dream of local businessmen Adam Sherman and Ross Presgrave. Serious illness had touched both their lives and it was their goal to create a stunning retreat for families with a seriously ill or injured child.

The Family Retreat is made up of four deluxe cabins providing families their much needed break away at no charge. The Family Retreat is an integral part in the broad range of programs offered by Ronald McDonald Charities across Australia, giving families and seriously ill children the opportunity for a holiday in a beautiful setting where they are able to relax, recharge and reconnect. Ronald McDonald House is 100% community owned and operated and as such relies on the generosity of the local community to help families.

The new building has been designed to match the existing cabins but will be fitted out to accommodate the growing needs of our volunteer and staff teams. The building is approximately 90sqm plus an outdoor deck, garage and ancillary storage areas.

Our preference is to engage with an experienced local builder who is well connected in the Forster community, to assist us in bringing our vision to reality. We will be requesting a tender submission based on market rates. Any in kind donations for the works will be welcomed with the tender submission.
