Design and Construction of Office Spaces for Phillip Island Nature Parks, Phillip Island.

⁠⁠⁠Four ticketed areas with visitor centres at the Penguin Parade, Nobbies Antarctic Journey, Churchill Island and the Koala Conservation Centre (KCC)

Various coastal, woodland and wetland reserves including Rhyll Inlet, Oswin Roberts Reserve, Cape Woolamai and Pyramid Rock Overseen by a Board of Management, the Nature Parks primary role is conservation of the parks natural and cultural assets, in particular Phillip Island's colony of Little Penguins. Nature Parks staff undertake an extensive environmental management program, informed by our research activities, and provide education and interpretation about Phillip Island's flora, fauna and history. The Nature Parks receive no recurrent operational funding from the State Government and generate revenue from ecotourism to fund conservation programs and projects.

The Nature Parks is currently in the process of implementing a major strategic plan initiative to redevelop the Penguin Parade Visitor Centre. This project, at an estimated cost of $58 million (with $48 million funding from the State Government), involves designing and constructing a new visitor centre and associated car parks for the world famous Penguin Parade. One of objectives of the project is to reduce the footprint of the developed area so that 6.7ha of land can be rehabilitated to penguin habitat. Because of this reduced footprint subsequent flow-on projects from this development are the relocation of staff offices to Cowes.

The Nature Parks is seeking a principal construction contractor with appropriate experience and qualifications for the design and construction of office spaces at Cowes.
