Building Better Bike Connections Geelong West Corridor

⁠⁠⁠The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing 2.00pm on Wednesday 17 October 2018, from suitably experienced and qualified contractors for the upgrade and construction of the Building Better Bike Connections Project Geelong West.

The Works include both new and existing segments of bike/pedestrian paths and associated infrastructure which have been further broken down into the following areas:
* Area 2A Villamanta Street (Latrobe Terrace to Pakington Street)
* Area 2B Pizer Street & Gertrude Street (Villamanta Street to Gertrude Street)
* Area 2C Gertrude Street & Sydenham Avenue (Pakington Street to Minerva Road)
Victorian Industry Participation Policy (VIPP)

As part of the project funding which applies to infrastructure projects in Victoria that are greater than $1million in value, the Building Better Bike Connection project and this scope of works is subject to the strategic requirements of the Victorian Industry Participation Policy (VIPP) which aims at improving the percentage of local content on major projects, both labour and materials.

Tenderers are required to complete sections 1-9 of the Local Industry Development Plan (LIDP). A template of the LIDP has been included within the tender attachments. All tenderers are required to upload the completed LIDP through the website listed below and also include the completed LIDP with the tender submission. Throughout the project completion, it will be the responsibility of the successful Contractor to monitor the commitments made within the LIDP by completing and uploading the attachments B-F included within the LIDP template onto the website and also include in the final handover documentation.

Please note there are mandatory requirements that the successful contractor will be required to meet as outlined below. Tenderers who do not meet the mandatory criteria will not be considered further for this project.
