Tender Description
The WA Police Force is planning significant technology and business change through a Digital Policing strategy. This will fundamentally change the way the organisation captures, stores, manages and uses digital evidence. The Body Worn Camera (BWC) project will entail the provision and distribution of cameras and a Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS) throughout Western Australia.
The BWC solution (hardware and software) will be procured as a fully hosted managed service, which will need to account for geographical remoteness and limited data load considerations, as well as the integration of requisite capabilities, which can automate the use of cameras in given operational scenarios.
Through the tender process, the WA Police Force will seek a suitably experienced innovative strategic partner, able to provide a BWC solution that is scaleable and adaptable, meeting both metropolitan requirements as well as delivering solution capability for remote policing units. This will entail the:
* Provision of a hosted managed service (software and hardware) for the BWC solution, within agreed timeframes.
* Provision of a BWC solution, which is fit for purpose to the WA policing environment; and
* Provision of support and training during identified implementation phases of the BWC deployment stages.
