Tender Description
The Council of the City of Ryde is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced respondents for the construction works to extensively upgrade the existing park including construction of a new public amenities building in Wilga Park in Cottonwood Crescent, Macquarie Park NSW 2113.
This Request for Tender requires the following works to be constructed:
1. Amenities building;
2. Substantial earthworks to sculpt the landform to allow for the formation of an amphitheatre
space;
3. In-situ concrete walls to form an amphitheatre space;
4. Concrete pathways through the site to provide access from adjacent streets and pathways;
5. In-situ concrete stairs to provide a main entry and access to the amphitheatre;
6. Stormwater drainage works to the landscape works and amphitheatre;
7. Substantial turfing and planting works to the amphitheatre surrounds;
8. Supply and installation of street furniture such as seats, picnic settings and bins; and
9. Artwork elements for the following:
a) a 'mandala' to be constructed with coloured Stoneset and coloured tubular steel
ornamental handrail.
b) A steel sculptural element 'Burst' to be constructed of powdercoated mild steel with
reinforced concrete footings
City of Ryde is aiming to activate the public open space associated with Shrimptons Creek that are located within Macquarie Park. The focus for this tender brief is the activation of Wilga Park and in particular the circular open area of Wilga Park.
