Tender Description
The Commission’s legacy communications platform relies upon a range of ISDN services to connect to the PSTN network which also support a range of fax services.
This consists of an on premise deployment which is owned and operated by the existing Information and Communications Technology team.
The current system is subject to a range of compelling investment drivers including:
* The existing MITEL telephony platform is end of life and end of support life.
* The future supportability of the platform is at-risk, directly threatening the continuity of the Commission primary voice communications system.
* The existing platform cannot be further upgraded, meaning that important security and functional upgrades cannot be applied.
* The current IVR supporting Integrity Services provides limited insight into the performance of the public facing reporting system.
* The current platforms cannot support the future adoption of advanced collaboration capabilities such as messaging, video and presence.
* The existing system relies upon a range of underpinning communication services that will be discontinued from June 2019.
