Audit Committee Member

⁠⁠⁠Gannawarra Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified persons to join its Audit Committee as an independent representative.

It's an exciting time to become part of Gannawarra, home to Victoria's first large scale solar farm, a range of new agricultural developments and soon to be Victoria's nature based tourism destination.

Members of the Audit Committee play a key role in assisting council to fulfil governance and overseeing responsibilities, ethical practises and accountability requirements.

The primary objective of the Audit Committee is to assist council in the effective conduct of its responsibilities for financial reporting, management of risk, maintaining a reliable system of internal controls and facilitating the Council's ethical development.
