Delivery of Municipal Building Surveyor Services And Building Permit Services

Local Government Authorities within the Wimmera region namely Hindmarsh Shire Council, West Wimmera Shire Council, Yarriambiack Shire Council, Southern Grampians Shire Council and Horsham Rural City Council are working co-operatively to deliver a customer focussed, cost effective, quality and innovative Municipal Building Surveyor and Building Permit Service to serve the communities within the region.

The Councils propose to undertake a joint procurement process to achieve economies of scale for delivery of this service, but recognise that each individual Council will be required to enter into a separate contract with the successful tenderer.

The initial term of contract will be for one, three (3) year period, with an option to extend for a further one, two (2) year term, to be exercised by each Council at its sole discretion. Southern Grampians Shire Council contract will be for 1 year with an option to be extend for a further 1 year term.

Whilst the service delivery methodology is not specified, it is expected that the Contractor will be available 5 days per week for 52 weeks per year (excluding public holidays) through a combination of face to face/onsite delivery, telephone and digital remote service delivery.
