Mandated by the Public Record Office Victoria, PROS 11/01 Storage Standard covers the requirements that apply to the storage of all records held by Public Institutions (health and corporate records).
Western Health seek to achieve the following objectives:
* Consolidate records storage (physical paper and electronic tapes) where appropriate currently stored with multiple suppliers.
* Formalise internal procedure and practices relating to offsite storage of records.
* Establish an up-to-date agreement with offsite storage supplier.
* Review pricing and service delivery model to maintain at least current rates or at reduced rates
* Presently, Western Health has approximately 30,000 boxes of health and corporate records stored offsite.
