Asset Storage and Transport Services for the Sheriff's Office Victoria

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (VIC), on behalf of the Sheriff's Office Victoria (SOV), is seeking a supplier to provide asset storage and transportation services. SOV wishes to engage a single supplier with the capacity to deliver the required services on an end-to-end basis, either as a prime contractor delivering all services directly, or with identified services delivered by subcontractors.

About

The Sheriff's Office Victoria is responsible for actioning warrants in Victoria and enforcing sanctions against those who do not comply with court orders, in accordance with the Sheriff Act 2009. The sanctions available to Sheriff's officers to enforce civil and criminal warrants include the seizure and sale of assets, which includes vehicles and chattels. To support this, SOV currently outsources these services under an existing contract. With the current contract approaching the end of its term, SOV is undertaking a competitive tender process for the services to ensure service continuity.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Transport of vehicles and chattels from seizure locations, within both metropolitan and regional Victoria, to the contractor's storage facility
• Receiving vehicles and chattels into the contractor's storage facility
• Long-term storage of vehicles and chattels, as well as personal property found in vehicles
• Preparation of vehicles and chattels for auctioning
• Release, being handover, of vehicles and chattels to the person or entity named in a Sheriff's warrant
• Provision of documentation and reporting associated with the services to SOV

Contractor Requirements

• Capacity to deliver the required services on an end-to-end basis
• Must engage as a single supplier, either as a prime contractor delivering all services directly, or with identified services delivered by subcontractors
