ATO is seeking an SQL expert to review and provide recommendations in the SQL Server design and platform configuration on Cloud and on-prem; performance improvement setting; reivew and enchancement the daily data collection, monitoring and report. Documentation and knowledge transfer on deliverable works.
SQL Server 2016 and multi-subnet failover configurations are newly introduced to on-prem. It is vital to review/assess and assure that best desing solution is in place.
The SBR2 Gold project plans to upgrade SQL servers to SQL2016 for Cloud servers. The Cloud server configuration was not previously assessed by ATO DBA or external consultants. It is essential that the desing and implementation follow the best industry practice.
There were several issues relating to IOPS with current SQL server build and configuration and different options are considered to address this issues. All available options need to be considered and extended testing is required to ensure best solution is implemented for the SBR2 Gold.
