Tender Description
The township of Quambatook has a history of being flooded or being under threat of flooding from the Avoca River for more than 100 years.
During the past seven years alone, Quambatook has been affected and/or threatened by flooding from the Avoca River four times. Three severe flood events occurred during the 2010 to 2011 period alone, while September 2016 saw the township again on high alert due to a 10% AEP flood.
The construction of this levee will protect Quambatook from future events.
Depending on the tenders received the construction of the levee will be constructed in stages to align with Councils allocated budget.
