Tender Description
This specification covers the works associated with the construction of the Weir Views wetlands. The proposed wetlands will be located in Weir Views.
The detail layout of the wetland and associated stormwater components on the site are shown in the Project Drawings.
The main stormwater components are:
* A sedimentation pond to remove coarse sediment
* A macrophyte zone
* Temporary bunds to isolate a terrestrial zone that can be modified to form part of the wetland
as the catchment develops.
* Additional storage to act as a retarding basin
Bulk earthworks and the construction of inlet and outlet structures have previously undertaken. These works are being undertaken to complete the wetland
The works involve, excavation, trimming and reshaping of the wetland fill placement, construction of inlet ponds, and wetland construction, planting, and other works detailed in the Project Drawings. The Scope of Works outlines the major construction tasks involved in the project, as covered in this specification.
